Besides as a vacation destination Bali offers variety of shopping outlets from a very simple souvenir shops to a mega shopping mall. Bali tourism industry becomes the number one income for this small island. Therefore you may find shopping areas, restaurants and hotels in every Bali tourist spots such as Kuta, Legian, Sanur, Jimbaran, Ubud, Candidasa, Singaraja, Seminyak, Denpasar, Tanah Lot and many others. Travel to Bali is not enough without shopping in one of those shopping place. One of the biggest shopping mall is Centro located on Jalan Kartika Plaza, Tuban Kuta, next to Discovery Kartika Plaza Hotel and Bali Garden Hotel. This is a very new mega shopping mall where you can get any items from local handicraft, electronic centers, food centers, book stores, fashions and restaurants. Centro has a great location due to its short walking distance from Bali Rani Hotel, Hotel Santika Beach, Kuta Paradiso, Ramayana Resort, Melasti Beach Bungalow, The Vira Bali Hotel, Ramada Resort Bintang Bali, Jatra, Rama Beach Resort, Risata, BaliHai Resort and Hotel Karthi Bali. Further to the north of Tuban, there are several shopping arcades and Matahari Legian Shopping Mall. All shopping needs seems to be available here at very reasonable price. List your items before shopping as you might confuse to choose. If you prefer to look for beach wear or swim suits then you need to take around Jalan Pantai Kuta and Jalan Raya Legian. Every single shops has its own characteristic. All shopping spots are within walking distance from all hotels along Kuta Beach and Legian including White Rose Hotel, Kuta Lagoon Resort, Bounty Hotel, Matahari Bungalow, Legian Paradiso, The Lokha Legian, Jayakarta Bali Hotel, Casa Padma and Legian Beach Hotel. Denpasar The Capital of Bali, Denpasar is around 30 minutes drive from Kuta, Legian, Seminyak. You need to have one day for shopping around Denpasar. Matahari Duta Plaza, Ramayana, Tiara Dewata, Robinson and other supermarket & department stores provides wide selection of fashions, electronics and daily needs. Nusa Dua There is a small market at the entrance of Nusa Dua where you can still find some bargains or you can call on Tragia and Mall Bali Galleria. Sanur The main shopping area is on Jalan Danau Tamblingan where you can see rows of shops and restaurants at their own style. One of the complete supermarket and handicraft center is Hardys Grossir. Stop there for a while and check if you can buy some souvenirs to bring home. You can bargain of the handicraft section on this store. Just walk a few steps from your hotel to reach this shopping parade. From Inna Grand Bali Beach, Diwangkara Holiday Villa, Sri Phala Resort, Alit Beach Bungalow, Sanur Paradise Plaza Hotel and Mentari Sanur Hotel might need a taxi ride. Ubud Ubud is undoubtly the center of the artistic village in Bali. It is within an hour drive from Bali International Airport. Most of the galleries are located on this beautiful village including Neka, Puri Lukisan, Arma, Agung Rai, Seniwati Art and Antonio Blanco. Shopping mall is not available in Ubud but you can do shopping in the Ubud Art Market and along Jalan Bisma or Jalan Wenara Wana. If you are staying with Komaneka Resort, Pertiwi Resort, Barong Resort, Ubud Village Hotel, Champlung Sari, Biyukukung, Arma Resort and Ubud Inn then you only need to walk a few minutes. Sukawati Sukawati might be the biggest art market in Bali with a large number of handicraft, paintings, batiks, and furniture.
