Legian is located at the north of Kuta and in terms of the scene and the facilities from a tourist point of view there is a very hazy divide between the two areas. Legian is best referred to as anywhere north of and including the Padma area where there is very much a family and couples scene as well as plenty of facilities and fun for groups of friends. You will find that there is a much more relaxed atmosphere where there are a number of restaurants and great areas to relax as well as a few places to enjoy a party until the early hours. On the whole the atmosphere is relaxed and on the beach there is a very mellow atmosphere where people simply relax on the beach with sun loungers and shaded seating enjoying refreshments including fresh tropical fruit, beer and a number of other refreshments. There is one exception to this and that is the double six area where there is a more lively and social atmosphere which is far more sophisticated that the more southern areas of the beach and offers excellent very well established beach cafes and restaurants representing food from all over the world including fresh sea food and Italian dishes.

The Double six area comes alive at night with a few places that are open all night and are lively place to have a night out offering dinning in the early evening and then when the evening is over and restaurants are close, that�s when the parties start. This is just one of the ways that Legian offers so much diversity making it the perfect sport for any kind of holiday as well as offering cultural and side with a number of displays in the hotels which are located all of the way along the beach in this area.

In a similar way to the way that Legian merges into Kuta, the same is also true of the north of Legian where you will find that Seminyak also merges in, in the north of the area where Legian becomes more and more sophisticated and relaxed. You will find same excellent intimate little places to eat here with some of the best Indonesian dishes as well as dishes from all around the world. As well as this there are some beautiful little bars and some very sleepy areas amongst the shopping. The shopping in Legian and Seminyak is remarkably different to that of the Kuta area as there are many boutique shops offering excellent clothing and all sorts of interesting items from household goods to general exports. There are many designers and working in Bali and you can buy their produce first hand for very low prices all around this Legian. Legian is the perfect family location as well as making a great place to bring older children or for a couple�s holiday. Legian is positioned in such a way that is very close to the airport, the routes off to other areas of the island and the incredible beach.
