The Gili Islands are group of three tiny islands located just off the north coast of Lombok. These three Islands known as Gili Trawangan, Gili Air and Gili Meno are all known for there incredible white sand beaches overlooking clear turquoise waters as well as incredible diving and a very laid back pace of life among the local people. Gili Trawangan is by far the most popular and most developed island in terms of hotels and tourism facilities where as the other two smaller islands make great alternative holiday location both of which also offers some luxury facilities and hotels and villas in a far more secluded tropical atmosphere. Reaching these islands is very easy with internal flight into the main land of Materam as well as fast boat trips operating from all around Bail as well as the island of Lombok. With the most laid back and secluded resorts located on the Gili Islands of Gili Air and Gili Meno here you will be able to wonder along the beach without a soul insight or maybe with a few local fishers. Gili Trawangan offers a great nightlife which a selection of bars and restaurants as well as some cafes all located right on the beach. There are three parties a week all held at different places and in the afternoons and evenings you are able to watch films in private outdoor booths while you enjoy a tropical cocktail.

Island hopping is the name of the game no matter which of the three Gili Islands you decide to stay on. You can catch fast boats or traditional boats which will make the crossing over the islands which are incredibly close.
