La Taverna Hotel Bali is a privately owned hotel that strives to maintain the classical spirit of the old Bali. One of the first hotels to be opened in Bali. La Taverna Hotel Bali has in the past accommodated musicians, artists, and politicians renowned and diverse. Sanur is more suited to mature folk, families, and couples wishing for luxury and quietude. A long golden sand beach with safe shallow swimming lagoons is a central geographical feature of Sanur. The lagoon hosts water sports such as wind/kite surfing, swimming, jet-skiing, paddle-boating, and kayaking. Beyond the safety of the lagoon and the open reef creates ideal conditions for fishing, diving and surfing. An early morning stroll on the beach allows you to capture a stunning sunrise over the Lombok Strait with clear views of looming Gunung Agung to your north. Many have been working there for a long time and can tell you all the intricacies of the hotel, its history and about the surrounding areas. The pool and poolside are truly immaculate and again fit superbly into the natural surroundings. From the pool one can see the calm Indian Ocean with distant white horses and beach and water sports enthusiasts. Many activities like tennis, scuba diving, para-sailing, water skiing, water scootering, snorkeling, and outrigger sailing can be easily arranged and are all within walking/paddling distance from the hotel. Finally worth mentioning is the beachfront restaurant Isola with its lovely candle lit tables set in the sand and its high standard of Indonesian, Italian and international cuisine. Naturally there is also a light bar menu and food can also be served directly to your room.


Restaurants and Bars:
The La Taverna Restaurant is located by the swimming pool, serving the authentic Balinese, Indonesian and Western dishes. It is also famous for wood fired pizzas.
